Errors in the geometric data of a property—such as shape, dimensions, area, or boundaries—can cause ownership disputes, obstacles in property transfer, and even depreciation of the property’s value.
Such errors may be found in all types of properties, including plots of land (inside or outside urban plans), agricultural parcels, land plots, residences, commercial spaces, industrial or storage buildings, and properties under co-ownership regimes (horizontal or vertical properties).
In cases of obvious or technical errors (e.g., incorrect dimensions, minor shifts, area difference up to ±20%), we proceed with correction by submitting an application to the Land Registry. (In cases of substantial difference or ownership dispute, an objection is required, which is examined by the competent Land Registry Committee.)
At our office, we undertake the full drafting and submission of applications for correcting geometric data of properties to the Corfu Land Registry, as well as monitoring the process until successful completion.
